WHAT IS THE MAIN SAFETY CONCERN WHEN OPERATING THE LASER SYSTEM?
Overall, modern laser systems are designed with multiple safety features and are safe to operate when used properly and in accordance with guidelines. Similar to all CNC machinery, open‑bed Class 4 laser systems do require appropriate eye protection during operation, as direct or reflected laser radiation can cause eye injury.

Always consult your company’s Laser Safety Officer (LSO) to select the correct optical density and wavelength‑specific laser safety glasses for your system. It is important to note that fully enclosed Class 2 laser systems — including our FiberCELL and LaserCELL models — feature interlocked protective enclosures that contain laser radiation completely. As a result, these enclosed units do not require the use of safety glasses during normal operation.
